Camille Bienvenu Poché is a founding Partner of Babineaux, Poché, Anthony & Slavich, L.L.C. Camille received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education summa cum laude from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 1993, she received her Juris Doctor degree summa cum laude from the Tulane University School of Law and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While attending Tulane, Camille was a member of the Tulane Law Review, serving as Index Editor from 1992-1993. Camille has been in private legal practice since 1993.
Camille is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association and the Lafayette Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Camille has a broad area of practice ranging from commercial litigation to transactions. Her commercial litigation experience includes class action/multi-party suits, including claims alleging environmental damage, bad faith insurance practices and RICO violations, and also includes general contract and business disputes, close corporation shareholder disputes, collection and enforcement of judgments, and insurance defense. Camille’s non-litigation experience includes mergers and acquisitions, general corporate advice, shareholder relations and corporate governance, and other business transactions.
Camille has been involved in volunteer and civic activities and recently completed a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Acadiana, a tax-exempt, donor-centric, entrepreneurial foundation which offers business entities and private individuals the opportunity to establish donor advised philanthropic funds to satisfy various and multiple charitable objectives.
